About My Journey
My path to voice and movement therapy, and how it can transform your life
My Story
"The voice is the muscle for the soul," says Alfred Wolfsohn, founder of Voice and Movement Therapy. My primary exercise is with my voice. I've deeply strengthened my self-worth and significantly improved my quality of life through voice and movement therapy, and would like to share the gifts I've received with you.
My journey with voice work began as a personal exploration into my own healing and self-discovery. After experiencing profound transformations in my own life, I felt called to share these practices with others, helping them connect with their authentic voice and true essence.
Professional Training & Credentials
I have completed over 800 hours of professional training in Voice Movement Therapy, studying with world-renowned teachers who are pioneers in this field:
- Christine Isherwood - Voice Movement Therapy teacher and practitioner
- Lerina van Rensburg - Certified Voice Movement Therapy practitioner
- Melanie Harrold - Voice Movement Therapy teacher
I spent 9 months in South Africa and traveled the world immersing myself in this transformative work. During this time, I not only trained intensively but also wrote a play, deepening my understanding of how voice, story, and movement intersect to create healing and transformation.
My training integrates Voice Movement Therapy with yoga, somatic practices, and creative arts, allowing me to create a unique, holistic approach that honors multiple pathways to self-awareness and authentic expression. This work is grounded in legitimate, internationally recognized training from the International Association for Voice Movement Therapy.
My Philosophy
I believe that each person's voice carries their unique truth and wisdom. By exploring our voices through movement, breath, and sound, we can access deeper parts of ourselves, dissolve blocks to self-expression, and connect more authentically with ourselves and others.
My approach integrates breathwork, vocal exploration, and embodied practices to foster connection, creativity, and transformation. Together, we nurture the voice within, helping it blossom into a unique and beautiful expression of who you truly are.
International Experience
During my 9 months in South Africa, I had the privilege of conducting an 8-session voice and movement therapy group, working with individuals to explore their authentic voices and embodied expression. This transformative experience deepened my understanding of how voice work transcends cultural boundaries and connects us to our universal humanity.
Through group work, participants discovered new dimensions of their voices, released emotional blocks, and experienced profound healing through sound and movement. This work continues to inform my approach to voice therapy and group facilitation.
What to Expect
In our work together, you can expect a supportive, non-judgmental space where exploration and playfulness are encouraged. Sessions may include a combination of:
- Vocal warm-ups and explorations
- Guided movement practices
- Breathing techniques
- Improvisation and creative expression
- Reflection and integration
No prior experience with voice work or movement is necessary—only an openness to explore and discover.

"If we have the aspiration to stop resisting those parts of ourselves that we find unacceptable and instead begin to breathe them in, that gives us much more space."
